So...
Let's begin!
HOW TO DESIGN BOOKLET COVER in 10 mins.
using Adobe Photoshop and Indesign.
First, you need to know about your printing.
You need to ask yourself these question
- What is the size of your printing?
- This will effect a lot in arranging texts and design a layout [This is essential! This will make suck content into something more interesting]
- What kind of paper?
- Different kind of paper, different color of paper [ex. green read, glossy, A4, colored paper] resulted different effect. With the same design and color, printed in different paper, some part of your artwork will be a thing called 'disaster'
- Used color?
- CMYK or Black and White need to be decided before designing process
- Targeted Group & Content
- When you're going to design anything, you need to know the content. Content and artwork must go in the same direction.
- ex. Wedding ceremony booklet cover is a black and white and some sad design
- Targeted group must be defined. People with different cultures or ages have different readability, layout and text arranging must be different.
In next post, I will show you a tool, source to design a booklet cover
