How to design booklet cover [3]

How to design booklet cover [3] : Set the color!

After you made a decision of how your work will be printed.
The next step of how to design booklet cover will be on how to set the color.

Tool  :

Adobe Photoshop and Adobe InDesign :)
version is not specified but CS3 and above will be better
I'm using both of them in CS5 ver.

What color you need to be set?
I'm not talking about the color in your work/design.
But the colors of ink that need to be used.

The following covers are comparison of each type of color

Bitmap - black and white for xerox process

CMYK - for normal colored printing

Grayscale - normal black and white printing

You can see the different between these 3 process :D
Normally, printing business used CMYK.
CMYK stands for cyan, magenta, yellow and black.
combination of these colors resulted a nice colored book

You may think that why don't we use gray scale to print a black and white work and just xerox it.
The answer is xerox process has low resolution and will not be able to print a detailed grayscale.

HOW TO SET >>

You can select the color from Color Mode:
select it based on your artwork!

Define the resolution also important...
300 pixels/inch suits for printed work.
while 72 pixels/inch suits for web design and computer graphic.

That's it for selecting color!
It isn't the end of how to design booklet cover.
Keep following for an update.
